Right out of high school Anthony joined the military and served until 1988 as a Medical Specialist, better known as a Combat Medic. Soon after exiting the Army Anthony enrolled in college to further his knowledge in the medical field as a Medical Assistant. In 1990 Anthony moved to Atlanta Ga.; by chance and circumstance he started working as a laborer, his job was to keep the Brick Layers supplied with all the necessary materials required to perform their job. Anthony fell in love with the entire process of the bricking industry learning how to do more than just suppling the materials but also how to lay as well as design and build. In 2001 Anthony returned to Kentucky taking on more brick laboring jobs, connected with his grandfather Rev. Monroe Johnson whom also laid bricks. His grandfather would tell him stories of his ancestors; that they were known as great Masonry. Anthony’s desire to learn more and to perfect his craft grew even stronger. In 2002, Anthony returned to Atlanta, to do a single job of bricking a mailbox for a family member never made it back to Louisville, Kentucky due to so many request due to word-of-mouth of his great work. Anthony was soon nick-named the “Mason Brixon Man” by the people of that community because he and his work were so professional. As opportunity grew Anthony knew the "Mason Brixon Man" was not an official business so he change the name to “Variety Masonry”. Anthony developed more training, expanded his knowledge and skills in a wide range of construction and soon changed the business name again this time to, “Jackpot Construction”; his company became more than just a masonry business it was now a Construction Company.
